The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace in June 2012 was organised by leading event producer RWP Ltd. The stellar line-up included Paul McCartney, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Kylie Minogue, Annie Lennox, Grace Jones, Jessie J, Gary Barlow, will.i.am, Madness, Robbie Williams, Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey and Ed Sheeran. Behind the scenes there was an equally impressive list of event suppliers, including Qdos Event Hire, who provided all the temporary cabin and toilet requirements for the show.
With half-a-million people packed into The Mall and millions more watching on their televisions at home it was vital that everyone involved performed to the best of their ability.
Qdos played a pivotal role in the overall success of the event supplying 54 cabins in total for the artists, the BBC, Sky and ITV; the Metropolitan Police; the stage management and production teams and all the suppliers involved including; lighting, sound, video, security, catering, local crew, power, traffic and Health & Safety.
In addition to the supply of cabins Qdos also installed 17 toilets for both the backstage and public areas. Backstage their luxury mobile vacuum trailers were used by the BBC, performers and even guests in the Royal Box. They also provided urinals, male, female and disabled units.
Qdos also provided cabins and toilets to the Diamond Jubilee Pageant, Royal Windsor and the River Pageant.
