When Royal Wedding fever gripped not only the entire nation but the international media, earlier this spring, Qdos was on-hand to deliver event accommodation and welfare services to event suppliers, production companies and security services.
Providing units to Arena Structures, H-Power, Power Logistics, CSG Events and the Metropolitan Police, if you looked closely enough the Qdos logo was glimpsed nearly as many times as the happy couple, HRH Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Qdos supplied Arena Structures with 10 cabins and five toilet trailers on the Long Walk, these were to service the BBC, Sky and ITV live broadcasts. A further two cabins were sited in the Mews and another two for the BBC in the moat outside the castle.
Production company H-Power was provided with showers, toilets and cabins in Windsor’s Home Park public car park area to service the event stewards and security for the event. These included: 3 x 4 bay showers, 1 x wet room, 4 x luxury vacuum trailers and 1 x urinal trailer. There were also cabins located adjacent to the large screens situated in Home Park.
Event supplier, Power Logistics supplied power to the BBC’s live broadcast and required a small towable unit, inside the grounds of Windsor Castle, to allow its crew to rig equipment.
Whilst CSG Events requested a 32ft x 10ft open plan cabin for BBC International. This was then made use of by associated press.
The Metropolitan Police were supplied with 3 x luxury vacuum toilet trailers for use by their offices who were responsible for securing the event.
All of the units were installed, and project managed by Qdos’ experienced team, including engineers and servicing teams.
