Ladies Scottish Open Case Study
Amongst the first projects undertaken by Qdos Event Hire’s newly launched Scottish division was the PGA’s Aberdeen Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open 2020. Due to ongoing situation surrounding Covid-19 the tournament took place behind closed doors at The Renaissance Club from 13th -16th August.
Despite the lack of spectators, Qdos was still on hand to deliver a host of temporary accommodation to the prestigious event, hosting the organising and production teams, golfers, suppliers and contractors alike.
The units installed included:
12 x 24’ x 9’ open plan cabins were utilised by the event’s marshals, the production and LPGA tour teams, as well as being in action as editing suites, commentary boxes, scoring headquarters and rest areas.
4 x 20’ x 9’ open plan cabins for isolation cabins, first aiders and driver rest areas
3 x 12’ x 9’ offices
40’ x 9’ cabin split 30/40/30 was the medical headquarters
8’ x 8’ transport office
8’ x 8’ and 2 x 20’ x 8’ steel stores utilised by the Golf Club and Championship organisers
The Qdos team was onsite from 31st July – 17th August and followed strict Covid-19 safe working protocols throughout.
