Chelsea Flower Show Case Study
Qdos Event Hire delivered cabins, modular buildings and storage units to Chelsea Flower Show. Having worked with the Royal Horticultural Society on the event since 2017, Qdos is a trusted supply partner to the event having invested in kit that specifically meets its needs. Many of the cabins supplied are green in colour, to blend in with the greenfield site at Royal Hospital Chelsea.
This year more than 40 units were supplied to the RHS. These included 2 x 40’ linked units, one of which features a bespoke design with a unique configuration that was built to meets the organiser’s exact requirements. Other uses include offices and a mess area for the show’s organising team, exhibitors and official contractors, accreditation, IT and telecoms and meeting rooms.
An additional 10 cabins were also installed for the BBC broadcast team, including dressing rooms for the presenters and a further 5 units to caterer Sodexo.
Royal Hospital Chelsea, the flower show’s venue is considered to be one of the most logistically challenging from both a location and layout perspective, especially as many of the areas cabins are sited are amongst trees or in confined spaces. The Qdos team meticulously plans and schedules deliveries to ensure that both the install and de-rig of the event runs smoothly.
