Royal Highland Show case study
The Royal Highland Show is an annual event, showcasing the best of food, farming and rural life. Held at the Royal Highland Centre just outside of Edinburgh from 22nd – 25th June 2023, it attracted its largest audience to date with 217,000 people coming through the gates, beating its previous record by 20,000.
Qdos Event Hire supplied a total of 168 units to the event that included:
- 6 x 10’ x 9’ cabins
- 26 x 20’ x 9’ cabins
- 7 x 24’ x 9’ cabins
- 2 x 28’ x 10’ cabins
- 1 x 32’ x 10’ cabin
- 12 x plastic toilets
- 15 x 6-bay showers
- 11 x storage containers
- 6 x 4 window ticket offices
- 35 x jackleg toilets in a combination of male, female and accessible
- 3 x 4+3 luxury vacuum toilet trailers
- 2 x urinals
Our team, who have extensive knowledge of the venue, were onsite from 30th May to 5th July. Initially overseeing the installation and siting of all units and then providing full site management support during the build, live days and de-rig of the event. In addition, we provided waste management support for the welfare facilities we delivered and a team of cleaners for cabins and toilets during the show days.
