As Containex’s trusted official supply partner for event equipment in the UK, Qdos Event Hire was asked to deliver a comprehensive technical overlay solution on their behalf to UEFA Events for the 2024 Champions League Final.
Held at Wembley Stadium on 1st June with numerous stakeholders involved the project required a significant number of CTX units in a variety of configurations. With Qdos’ expert knowledge of the kit and extensive stocks it was the ideal collaboration.
Almost 40 units including 24’ x 8’ male and female toilet blocks, a 3 window ticket office, 20’ x 8’ stores and modular buildings in numerous sizes. These included 10’ x 8’, 20’ x 8’, 20’ x 16’, 20’ x 24’ and 20’ x 32’ CTX modular units for meeting rooms, frame relay networking equipment and offices for UEFA.
Qdos’ dedicated project management team oversaw the install and build of the units ensuring they met UEFA’s exact specifications. We also supplied a number of extras including furniture, fire extinguishers and specific electrical equipment. Some of the units also required modifications to ensure that the extensive cabling needed to deliver the state-of-the-art HDR coverage could be accommodated.
The final saw Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in a thrilling match that was viewed by 450 million viewers globally.
