Qdos Event Hire, leading suppliers of portable accommodation and welfare facilities, has announced today that James Thomas has been promoted to managing director with immediate effect.
Thomas joined the company in June 2014 as commercial director and has been instrumental in winning new business and developing Qdos as a recognisable brand within the event industry. His new role will see him now take responsibility for the day to day management of Qdos, overseeing sales, operations and strategic growth to ensure the ongoing success of the company.
Nigel Brice, divisional CEO at Newship Group, Qdos’ parent company commented on the promotion: “Since James joined Qdos we have experienced a period of rapid growth and he has played an integral role in our progress. We have had numerous successes including; securing a five year contract with Goodwood, supplying cabins and toilets to several Rugby World Cup sites and cementing our relationship with IMG.”
“We have invested heavily in the business; recently moving to larger premises in Beaconsfield, purchasing more equipment and recruiting staff. We now have a strong team in place which, under James’ direction, will take Qdos to the next level,” he added.
Speaking on his promotion, Thomas said: “I’m thrilled and extremely proud to become managing director of Qdos. It is a thriving business, with a great team, that is committed to delivering great products and services to its clients, I’m very much looking forward to driving the business forward.
