Qdos Event Hire was appointed by H-Power, organiser of the Royal Windsor Horse Show, HMQ90, International Endurance and the Long Walk, to supply a selection of their high quality and diverse range of toilets and shower facilities into the spectacular grounds of Windsor Castle.
The castle was in the spotlight for Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations, with a number of events over a two-day period. HMQ90, hosted a fournight theatrical show, celebrating the queen’s life, with members of the Royal family due to attend each evening and the final event was broadcast live on ITV. On the final night of the celebration, a pre-performance party and live screening of the ITV broadcast took place.
The Royal Windsor Horse Show hosts the highest quality show jumping, dressage, International Endurance and the Land Rover International Driving Grand Prix, along with a multitude of national jumping and showing classes, as well as outstanding equestrian displays.
Qdos supplied over a hundred toilet and shower facilities, in a variety of configurations and sizes, from their extensive product range, throughout the grounds of the Castle, ensuring that the event had a full range of amenities for participants and visitors.
The products installed included eight of their four bay gas showers, all gas heated to ensure hot water along with spacious and private changing areas. The showers were situated at different locations across the park, including; organisers camping, Pea Field Copse, Archery Copse, the stables for The Royal Windsor Horse Show and Potts Field.
A large quantity and variety of toilets were supplied including: single self-contained free standing plastic pods; luxury vacuum toilet trailers, with a fresh water flush and traditional toilet trailers, with a re-circulating flush.
The mixture of male, female and disabled units were supplied with vanity wash basins, electric lighting, hand towels, soap, toilet rolls, and tidy bins.
Qdos also provided a dedicated project management team to oversee the installation and carry out maintenance during event days.
